BACKGROUND

The Genesis Performance Lab was an interactive experience first launched at the Streamsong Golf Resort in Florida as part of the Genesis invitational.

The experience matched high performance sport tracking with custom animations that were displayed in an immersive experience. The experience evolved to showcase the technology to larger audiences at PGA Tour events.

GOAL

The goal was to create a unique experience connecting golfers to the Genesis brand and to create relevancy for guests to physically get in and experience a Genesis G90 vehicle.

SOLUTION

We first developed a comprehensive software platform that utilized the data provided by the Trackman Golf unit. This was paired with custom animations and data visualizations that were projection mapped on the windshield of the Genesis G90 vehicle. The end result was the transformation of a luxury sedan into an intimate theater that took participants on tour of both the vehicle and their golf data.

Our visuals were designed to best utilize the space on the windshield. We also developed custom audio to take advantage of the surround sound within the vehicle. The whole experience was ran on a set of custom tablet applications.

We launched this experience to wider audiences at PGA Tour events, including the Farmer’s Insurance Open and the Genesis Open. The new experience focused on a specific golf technique and provided each participant with a social shareable video of themselves with the Trackman data integrated.
